Privacy policy
This policy covers thompson-excavating.com, run by Thompson Excavating & Landclearing LLC in St. Joseph, Missouri.
What we collect
When you send the quote form we receive your name, phone number, project location, the type of work, and anything you add: an email address, project details and photos. If you call, text or email us, we receive what you send. Our web server also keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security and to stop spam.
How we use it
Only to reply to your request, give you a quote, and schedule and do the work. Sending the form means you agree we can contact you about that request by phone, text or email. We don't send marketing messages.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. Form submissions are delivered to us by email through Google (Gmail). While you type a project location, our server sends that text (not your name or contact details) to Google's address search (Google Places), the US Census Bureau's public address lookup, and Photon, an address search service run by komoot on OpenStreetMap data, to suggest matching addresses. The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps and loads from Google, which may set its own cookies; see Google's privacy policy. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Because we don't track you across other sites, we treat every visitor the same way whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
How long we keep it
Quote requests stay in our email as business records for as long as they're useful for the job, warranties and taxes. Server logs are rotated regularly.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete the information you sent us, call (816) 385-0492 or email C.ThompsonExcavating@gmail.com. We'll take care of it unless we have to keep a record for legal or tax reasons.
Children
This site is for adults arranging work on their property. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this site. It is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA: it works with a keyboard and screen readers, keeps text readable against its background, gives every photo a description, and turns off motion when your device asks for reduced motion.
